The Houses of Parliament 'New Dawn' Jewellery Collection - Inspiration and Conception

When I was contacted by The Houses of Parliament to write a proposal to create a collection of jewellery to accompany the launch of Mary Branson’s ‘New Dawn’ art installation celebrating women’s suffrage I was both intrigued and excited.

Making the Chinese Dragon Guitar Pick

I love music, particularly guitar music and wanted to make some products that weren't jewellery pieces. So I decided to use the printing and dying techniques that I use for making my Birth Flower Jewellery to make my new guitar picks.

After making the plaques for Camden Council I was invited by The Social Enterprise Mark CIC to design and make the plaques for their Gold Mark Awards.

Camden Council approached Cockpit Arts with a request for a designer maker to design and make trophies for the Camden business awards inaugural event in 2013. Vanessa Swan, Director of Cockpit Arts, passed their details onto me as a maker who could offer them something a bit different.
