Cockpit Arts - Leaf Cascade Installation collaboration 2013

 Leaf cascade installation collaboration with Aline Johnson and Cockpit Designer Makers Summer Open Studios 2013.

    

I really enjoyed participating in this project to make leaves for the leaf cascade at the Open Studios. I made four leaves. I cut the leaves out of aluminium which I had printed with floral and butterfly illustrations that I had previously dyed by hand. I wanted to make elaborately patterned and textured leaves so hammered the leaves into shapes and fluted the the edges with a jewellers piercing saw.
