'New Dawn' Suffragette stud earrings
Gift a Piece of British History
Celebrate Women's Suffrage with these attractive stud earrings
In 2016 Sally Lees was commissioned to create a collection of jewellery to accompany the installation of 'New Dawn', a light sculpture made by Mary Branson to celebrate women's suffrage and installed at Westminster Hall in London.
The jewellery collection echoed the design of 'New Dawn' with it's glass disks depicting the end of the Parliamentary scrolls in the Women's Suffrage colours. Each earring is handcrafted from polished anodised aluminium digitally printed with a drawing of the end of the Parliamentary scrolls. In the centre are tiny sterling silver disks and these studs have silver posts and scrolls. Purple and green were Emmeline Pankhurst's Women's Social and Political Union colours and Red and green were the colours of Millicent Fawcett's suffragist oganisation the National Union of Suffrage Societies and yellow and green were the Women's Freedom League colours.
Available in green, blue, red or purple
