This oval shaped pendant is decorated with vitreous enamels. Vitreous enamel is applied as a powdered glass and fused to copper at high temperatures in a kiln. It gives the surface a beautiful glossy look and 23 carat gold leaf particles have been fused to the glass in the middle of the shape. The pendant is accompanied by a gold plated chain with round links and is adjustable from 16 to 18 inches. The chain is attached to either side of the pendant with gold plated jumprings.

Sally's process of working with the enamels involves adding a layer of enamel at a time and fusing the enamels in the kiln making each piece of jewellery unique. Each layer is sanded back to partially reveal the layer below and enamels are reapplied after each step of the process.
