Camden Business Awards Plaques 2017

In 2017 Camden Council asked me once again to make the trophies for the Camden Business Awards. I had illustrated previous Camden Business Awards with key Camden buildings. Buildings which the awards ceremonies were being held in, namely the newly refurbished St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in 2015 and the Rosewood Hotel in 2015. 2017's venue was to be the Royal College of General Practicioners building but given the wealth of beautiful and interesting buildings in the bourough of Camden drove us to decide to incorporate more than one building on this year's trophies.  There were a few buildings that were...

20 Years in Business - How I Made the 'New Dawn' Suffragette Pendant

This is how I made the 'New Dawn' women's suffragette pendant which was originally commissioned to accompany the 'New Dawn' light sculpture created by Mary Branson and installed in Westminster Hall in June 2016.

The pendant is going to be available at the Vote 100 exhibition in The Houses of Parliament shops and online from June 2018 with some new colourways.

Women of the suffrage movement wore the suffrage colours with pride and used badges pins and even fine jewellery to show their support for suffrage. The suffrage colours represented core values of the movement and the main colours were purple for dignity and loyalty, white for purity and green for hope.
